Hotel Room Security

If you are unsure about your hotel room security then there are practical steps you can take to make it more secure. Placing a chair under the handle or jamming a towel under the door will act as an effective wedge to prevent a forced entry. If your room has a balcony or you are near to the ground floor then ensure your windows and patio doors are closed when you leave the room. If you need them open at night then try and restrict the opening so entry is difficult. For peace of mind it may be worth packing portable door locks and alarmed wedges to compliment the dorm or hotel rooms existing security measures.
